Every October, artists all over the world take on the INKtober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month. 2015 is the the first year I participated.
Since I'm always working in pencil & usually very detailed, my goal for this challenge was to start simplifying, stylizing & loosen up more in my work.
I had a lot of fun drawing so many things I've never illustrated before and I was quiet surprised with the results.
I didn't want to spend more than 30 min a day on it, which doesn't seem like a lot. But I have to admit that I cheated a bit by sometimes drawing more than 1 a day, because other days I couldn't find time.
I'm really happy that I kept drawing and that I finished 31 drawings in 31 days.
When it comes to art there are never enough skills you can have and the more you practice the better you get.
