This month was all about cuckoo clocks for me:
I registered for "Make Art That Sells Assignment Bootcamp" by Lilla Rogers, one of the top licensing agents ever (I am only dreaming of working with her!). Every month you get an assignment to create some fresh artwork for a specific market. This month we (400+ artists) created a cuckoo clock pattern to use on phone covers.
I'm really really loving this bootcamp and I'm so blown away by the different talents of this fantastic group of artists & designers - It's so inspiring for me to see how everyone implements the assignment completely different and most importantly in their own style. The results are absolutely incredible!

You'll find my entry on page 1, on the right, third row from the bottom.
I also wanted to share with you a little bit about my process and how I came up with the finished cuckoo clock phone cover: The first week in February was all about getting to know cuckoo clocks: I doodled away with my pencil. The next two weeks I digitalized the doodles and just played around with colors, the different clocks & elements until I reached my final piece.
I think the pattern also works very well on pillows, cards, laptop skins, bags etc.
My cuckoo design is available for sale on different products in my society6 shop - Please check it out here: http://society6.com/SusanneKasielke/Cuckoo-Love_Print
